The all-new Lexus IS was launched recently at Mutiara Damansara hub in Malaysia, being reportedly offered in four variants.
The Lexus lineup will increase by the addition of the IS 250, IS 250 Luxury, IS 250 F-Sport and of course the IS 300h hybrid model.
The three 250 models are powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine producing 205 hp and 252 Nm of torque mated to 6-speed automatic gearboxes with Sport mode option. The F-Sport model has an extra Sport S+ mode, front bucket seats, aluminum pedals, badged scuff along with an adaptive sport suspension and other sporty things.
Moving to the IS 300h is powered by the Lexus Hybrid Drive system which uses a 178 hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine aided by an electric motor which combined totals 220 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
Basic price for the Lexus IS 250 starts at RM269,900, growing up to RM299,900 for the Luxury model and RM333,000 for the F-Sport one, while the IS 300h is sold for RM383,000.
