The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show brought us the world premiere of the F15 X5. At the BMW stand in Hall 11 of the event, the audience can still feast its eyes on the xDrive50i and M50d versions.
However, the most powerful and fastest version of the Sports Activity Coupe will be the X5 M that will probably be unveiled somewhere next year. The new car will probably take on a new engine, he revised version of the S63 unit that powers the E70 models.

At the moment, the E70 X5 M cars come out of the assembly lines with 555 HP but the new version is expected to use the same unit as the current M5 and M6, the Tu version of this engine, with 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque.

Considering the fact that the F15 platform is a bit lighter and stiffer, the new model should be faster to 100 km/h (62 mph) than the current one, going below 4.7 seconds.
