The Dacia Duster is on sale in Britain now, stiff competition for any affordable off-roader. So to make sure it stays relevant, Suzuki has slapped a new face onto the Jimny and sent it out fighting
Under the bonnet, the Jimny is still offered with the same 1.3-liter 84bhp petrol engine with a standard manual gearbox. On the combined UK cycle, this achieves 39.8mpg(7.1l/100km) and slightly less with the automatic.
Cosmetic changes aren’t that substantial either. There’s a new front bumper and grille design, contributing to an overall increase in length of 30 mm. The hood is also new and features an air scoop on top.
In the UK, the new Jimny version is available right now from £11,995 for the base SZ3. Prices can reach as high as or £13,800 with automatic transmission in top spec.
