Subaru of America has announced that it will show the 2013 WRX and WRX STI special editions at the 2012 SEMA Show, which starts in just a few hours.
Both cars come in the same Tangerine Orange paint with jet black accents. Only 300 vehicles will be built in this combination, 200 of the WRXs and 100 STIs.

Interior photos are not available yet, but Subaru says it’s pretty nice, with orange stitching, black headliner and custom floor mats.

Under the bonnet of both cars, you’ll find a 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine: the WRX and WRX STI models develop 265hp and 305hp respectively. Subaru sins the ode of rally-inspired performance, but the dirty little secret they’re not mentioning is the new WRX is just around the corner and will pack 280 hp from a 2-liter.

We’ve seen this special edition before, in Australia, where it’s to be called the WRX Club Spec. When they finish producing this model in 2013, they’ll likely switch to the new car.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 SEMA, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
