Yes folks, the dream of owning a real life Hot Wheels Camaro is about to become reality. We have the first photos and video footage of the actual car which will be shown at SEMA soon. Order books will be opened November 1st, with first deliveries scheduled early next year.
The special edition is available in both coupe and convertible forms on the 2LT and 2SS trim models. It features styling cues from the ZL1, including the rear spoiler and front upper grille.

The special edition also features the grounds effects package, black 21-inch wheels, two-tone matte hood graphics and Hot Wheels grille and decklid logos.

“Millions of us grew up playing with Hot Wheels,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “Offering a special production model of the Camaro Hot Wheels is an opportunity to bring those memories to life, for kids of all ages.”

“It’s been nearly 20 years since I started designing cars for Hot Wheels and I have yet to drive one home,” said Felix Holst, vice president of creative for the Mattel Wheels Division. “Personally, I can’t wait to open the doors and see the Hot Wheels Camaro sitting in the garage.”

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 SEMA, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
