If you’re looking to buy a midsize coupe, the Honda Accord was probably already on top of your list due to the safety features and stylish body it comes with.
Even though Honda haven’t managed to boost power by a huge margin, they have focused on other things that matter, like economy and safety. A statement made by the Honda USA a couple of days ago says the all-new Accord Coupe is the only model in its class to have earn a NHTSA 5-star Overall Vehicle Score and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+.

The latest award shows the Accord Coupe will protect its occupants in the frontal, side-barrier, and side-pole crash test categories, as well as if the car were to roll over.

It is also the first and only car in its class to receive the “Good” rating in the new IIHS’s new small overlap frontal crash test.

"The Honda comprehensive approach to vehicle safety is validated by these top-level safety ratings," said Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda. "The 2013 Honda Accord truly excels in all areas, delivering the best overall safety ratings, while also providing exhilarating performance, outstanding comfort and top-class fuel economy."
