As of July 2012, xDrive will become available in combination with the two 3-Series engines in the US. First off, the F30 328i xDrive will retail for $38,500, while the more powerful 335i will come with all-wheel drive only if you can fork out $44,800.
Both will come with the same engines and output as the sDrive rear-drive sedans. At the same time, the equipment profiles will remain unchanged with the exception of the Sport Suspension usually fitted to the Sport and M Sport Line. This probably would have put the car over the $50,000 threshold too easily, which would have upset customers.

All-season tires have been fitted to the xDrive M Sport Line and Sport Line models, but these can be changed to performance tires at no extra cost.

What’s more, the only manual gearbox you can have with xDrive is on the more expensive 335i.
