We’re sort of familiar with the shape of the new Colorado pickup that will arrive next year due to the fact that we’ve seen it in concept form, but this is the first time a full production version of one of the most important Chevrolets to hit the global market.

The images come from a site called Bbznet and we’re guessing it’s in Thai, so this might mean that Chevrolet was testing their pickup in Thailand and didn’t expect for people to realize it’s a new vehicle that hasn’t been revealed yet.

The only parts that are covered are the bowtie emblems at the front and back. If you’re going to hide a car in plain sight, covering little bits of it with tape might attract even more attention.

We’ve already seen two concept versions of the Colorado, one in Bangkok and the other at the Argentinian Motor Show, but this is clearly a production version with regular grill, lights and foglishts to match.

The wide spread of the concept, one of which was also shown in Australia as a Holden a couple of months ago, proves this is a global product that will be tailored to individual market needs.

“The next generation Colorado will be an important player in light commercial/pickup 4x4 segment which is up 11 per cent this year,” said Holden Chairman and Managing Director Mike Devereux.

The Colorado Rally Concept was powered by a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine coupled to an all-wheel drive system, so we’re guessing this is probably going to be the configuration for the production model that’s coming to market next year in both single and double cab configuration.
