It seems that even the latest Range Rover SUVs are not bulletproof when it comes their passenger safety as they have been experiencing some airbag problems. Yes, you’ve heard it right and as a result the guys from Land Rover have recalled around 4,000 vehicles of the 2013-2014 model year.
Due to insufficient clearance, the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) connector located in the driver and front passenger side seat of the vehicle may become disconnected and airbags might not get deployed in the unfortunate case of a collision.

According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration “in the event of a crash necessitating side air bag deployment, the seat occupant is at an increased risk of injury.” Fortunately, this issue only concerns the side airbags, the other ones functioning accordingly.

Even so, the Land Rover franchise has certain standards thus they are keen on making amends. As a result, they have asked their customers to report in for service and have their vehicle taken cared of, free of charge, starting January 17.
