2011 Kia Pro_cee'd Facelift Photos Revealed

Kia recently revealed a few photos with the facelifted Pro_cee'd model that will make its public debut next year in March. The car will be offered with restyled parts on the front fascia, including the new grille used by Kia on all of its models, slightly reshaped headlights plus a new front bumper.

The three-door configuration will be also powered by a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, according to a report by kia-world.net, which develops a maximum of 128 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque.

The car will be officially introduced at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show, with sales to begin soon after.

The Pro_cee'd is currently offered with a total of six engines, three diesels and three petrols. There are two different 1.6-liter diesel units available across the range, which develop 115 horsepower and 90 horsepower, respectively, but it's yet unclear whether the new engine will join the range as a replacement for one of the two or just as a new engine option.

In separate news, Kia will use the upcoming 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit to introduce the so-called KV7 concept that uses multiple design innovations such as gullwing rear doors and swiveling rear seats.

“For the past several years Kia Motors’ design-led transformation has been delivering production vehicles – such as the Soul, Forte Koup and Sportage – that bear a very close resemblance to the original concept designs that preceded them. At the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Kia will make another dramatic design statement with the world debut of an all-new, convention-challenging concept vehicle named KV7," the company said in a statement without giving any hint whether it could use the prototype in the future for a mass-produced model.
