There’s nothing on the LaCrosse GL that’s coming to the 2011 LA Auto Show next week that you can actually call a concept, but the car does have a sea of luxury features - wood, leather, chrome and deep paint.

“The design cues that already distinguish the production LaCrosse – such as the premium leather-upholstered seats, ice blue ambient lighting and soft touch surfaces – are amplified in the GL and serve as inspiration for future Buick models,”
said David Lyon, Buick's executive director of design.

The body of the car has been finished in Cabernet Red, which is sure to impress the wine drinker in you. It also sports brushed and tinted chrome accents on the grille, door handles and deck lid, as well as around the windows, taillights and headlights.

However, if you want to know what the GL Concept is all about, than you’d better step inside, where you have more references to stuff you put in your mouth - leatherwork in dark cocoa brown and caramel chocochino for the seats, doors and instrument panels.

“Every surface in the interior of the LaCrosse GL has been crafted with the knowledge that Buick customers enjoy the finer things in life, but don’t need to flaunt it,” said Magdalena Kokoszynska, creative designer on LaCrosse GL.

We’d be surprised if they went through all the trouble of making the GL concept and don’t put it into production.
