2013 Chevrolet TrailBlazer Unveiled in Pre-Production Form

The brand new Chevrolet TraiBlazer made its official debut at the start of the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show in the Middle East, and the first images were released. This is the same vehicle that was teased last month, and it will enter production as a mid-size SUV based on the same platform as the Chevrolet Colorado pickup.
Don’t fall in love with the new TrailBazer and its snazzy interior just yet, because this is supposed to be just a pre-production version, meant to impress the crows with sleek lines and plenty of cool design details. For a better indication of what it will be like on the road, look no further than the rear-life shots of its pickup cousin.

The show vehicle features the same 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel with variable-geometry turbocharger for an optimal combination of performance and fuel economy. The TrailBlazer is a seven-seater with three rows of seats. The concept offers a two-tone combination of navy blue and beige that is likely to be offered on the production car. The seating position looks snug and all the buttons are car-like.

"It is a reflection of the importance of the Middle East market for General Motors that a vehicle as important as TrailBlazer is making its global debut at this show," said GM Middle East Operations President and Managing Director John Stadwick. "Without question, the new TrailBlazer will be one of the biggest and toughest members of the Chevrolet family - the perfect vehicle to take on the Middle East's competitive midsize SUV segment."

"Although this is a show vehicle, the overall design is faithful to the production version that will arrive in Chevrolet showrooms in 2012. Chevrolet TrailBlazer will be the ideal fit, not only for consumers in the Middle East, but in every place around the world where it will be sold," Stadwick adds.
