Saab 9-4X Now Available at U.S. Dealerships

The Swedish automaker Saab has managed to enter the rising crossover market with its 9-4X model. The new crossover has begun arriving at U.S. dealerships and Saab claims it has already received 100 orders for the9-4x crossover modelalso the manufacturer has 199 dealerships across the United States.

The manufacturer has sold its first 9-4X at Saab North Olmsted in Cleveland, according to Saab as related by autonews.com. The Saab 9-4X crossover will set you back with $34,205 for the front-wheel- drive version and $48,835 for the all-wheel drive Aero models. All prices include a shipping charge of $825.

This is the second attempt for Saab to enter the U.S automarket as for the first time expectations fell short, in a large part because the 9-7X was similar to GM models like Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy. Saab is on a “sunny road” for the moment as sales have crown at 158% so far meaning 3,471 vehicles were sold form which, 81% represented by the Saab 9-3 sales.

The crossover was engineered by GM based on the same platform with the Cadillac SRX. The American auto giant has started the production of 9-4X in February at its Mexico based facility. But giving the fact that Saab had problems with the suppliers pending payments, it was forced to postpone the output at its plant in Trollhattan, Sweden. However, Saab managed to acquire new funding from various sources, including Chinese automakers, and expects to resume routine early August in Sweden.
