2010 Suzuki GSX1250FA ST Unveiled

Shortly after the introduction of the new Suzuki GSX1250FA earlier this year, the Japanese manufacturer launched a new sport touring edition of the 1255cc machine. Dubbed GSX1250FA ST, the new Suzuki machine is said to benefit from exactly the same characteristics as its sibling, only that adds further attractive features.

This means that it is also equipped with the sophisticated digital fuel injection system, large intake (31mm) and exhaust (27mm) valves, Suzuki’s own nickel-phosphorous-silicon-carbide cylinder coating - to reduce piston friction - and a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike is in fact based on the engine and chassis of the Bandit 1250S in a sport-touring design.

Furthermore, it offers digital ABS as standard and an adjustable seat. A gear position indicator and shift light are also part of the functional and easy to read instrument cluster, destined to keep the rider fully informed.

As said, the new ST version adds a luggage system comprising of 33 litre panniers (per side) and a 37 litre top box, which makes it even more suitable for long distance ride across the country.

“The GSX1250FA ST is a very welcome addition to our model line-up. As many will know, we introduced our own large capacity touring model several years ago with the UK only Bandit 1250GT. The GSX1250FA ST replaces the popular Bandit GT, and with it comes factory-built refinement and versatility, at a price that enables continent crossing ability for the price of most entry-level machines," Suzuki GB marketing manager, George Cheeseman, said in a release.

In the UK, the Suzuki GSX1250FA wears a price tag of £6,999, while the newly released GSX1250FA ST will squeeze some £7,499 from your pockets.
