2010 Suzuki GSX1250FA Final Details Confirmed

No longer than last week we were offering you some provisional data of the 2010 sport-tourer from Suzuki. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has just confirmed the official details of the GSX1250FA, based on the bandit 1250S model.

Built around a traditional classic tube frame, the GSX1250FA features effective rake and trail figures (25.3 degrees and 104mm), with 43mm front forks and the single rear shock absorber featuring spring pre-load adjustability.

Equipped with Suzuki’s sophisticated digital fuel injection system, the GSX1250FA also features large intake (31mm) and exhaust (27mm) valves, Suzuki’s own nickel-phosphorous-silicon-carbide cylinder coating, to reduce piston friction, and a 6-speed gearbox.

Aside from the sporty handling, stability, versatility and reduced emissions, the GSX1250FA offers digital ABS as standard and an adjustable seat. Moreover, with handy additions such as a gear position indicator and shift light as part of the functional and easy to read instrument cluster, the rider is kept fully informed.

“Naturally we are delighted to welcome the GSX1250FA to the range for 2010. The GSX650F has proven to be extremely popular and we have no doubt that the 1250 will follow in its footsteps. While it’s too early to talk of a price, we expect the new bike to be competitive, offering a versatile and sporty ride that doesn’t bust the bank,”
said Suzuki GB marketing manager, George Cheeseman, in a statement for the press.

Suzuki has not released yet pricing and availability details of its new contraption, but the bike is expected to enter production in early 2010.
