2010 Nissan Maxima Pricing Unveiled

Japanese manufacturer Nissan today unveiled pricing for the 2010 Maxima which is already available at dealerships across the United States. Specifically, the 2010 Maxima comes in two versions, 3.5 S and 3.5 SV, both models being powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine releasing 290 horsepower and mated to an Xtronic CVT with paddle shifters.

Pricing starts at $30,460 for the Maxima 3.5 S and $33,180 for the Maxima 3.5 SV, according to a release by Nissan.

New features on model year 2010 include new wheel finishes, standard Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System on all models and new or revised option packages – with features such as a new 7-inch color monitor and a 2GB Music Server. Additionally, the Hard Drive Navigation System has been upgraded to provide more functions so it now includes DVD playback capability, streaming audio via Bluetooth, XM NavTraffic Real-Time Traffic Information and XM NavWeather.

Last but not least, the XM Satellite Radio system is now standard on Maxima 3.5 SV (XM subscription required and sold separately).

Redesigned for model year 2009, Nissan Maxima was officially unveiled at the 2008 New York International Auto Show. The car is currently assembled in Smyrna, Tennessee and is only offered as a 4-door sedan powered by the engine we already told you about. The powerplant allows the car to go from naught to sixty in no less than 6.3 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). As for fuel consumption, it eats up to 12.4 liters per 100 kilometers (19 mpg) in city driving and goes as low as 9 l/100km (26 mpg) in highway conditions.
