2010 Geneva Auto Show: Renault Clio Gordini RS

Renault is extending its exclusive toff sports Gordini range with the introduction of the Clio Gordini RS at the Geneva Auto Show.

Basically, the mad hatch is a Renault Clio R.S. worried about following the latest cool trends. So the car is power by the same 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine developing 203 HP and 215 Nm. Just as in its “normal” sibling, customers can choose to have the engine mounted on a Sport chassis or on an optional extreme Cup one.

The Clio Gordini has a distinct personality, expressed through the use of a Malte Blue color that also features two “heritage” white stripes. The car’s front bumper and rear diffuser feature gloss black highlights, while its exterior mirrors and F1-inspired front ornament are dressed in white to create a contrasting image. The hot and fancy hatch wears motorsport-style Gordini Series badges on its sides and rides on black 17 inch alloy rims that come in a diamond finish.

The Gordini theme has a strong presence in the car's interior, where we can find Gordini-badged Renault Sport seats finished in black and blue leather, a bespoke leather-covered steering wheel that matches the seats’ color theme and a Gordini gearshift knob. These are complemented by features like special stitching for the dashboard, a numbered Gordini plaque and Gordini floor mats.

The Clio Gordini R.S. offers a wide variety of standard features, such as a Carminat TomTom navigation system, cruise control, rain sensor, ignition card, automatic climate control and (very important) a fully disconnectable ESP system.

The pricing of the car will be announced in May, one month before it enters the European market.
