The 2010 Geneva Motor Show has already witnessed the introduction of several production models plus multiple concepts, but it's now the time to enjoy a special anniversary prototype seen at Alfa Romeo's booth. The Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta has been developed to celebrate 100 years of Alfa Romeo and 80 years of Pininfarina and, although we must admit that it's quite handsome, there's word whether it has at least a slim chance to make it to production.

Alfa Romeo hasn't released too many technical details concerning the car because it could be very well a waste of time in case it doesn't enter production.

Still, we do know that the car measures 4212.6 mm in length, 1797 mm in width and 1280 mm in height and has a 2500 mm wheelbase. The two-seater, is equipped with a longitudinally-mounted 1750 cc turbo engine but, once again, power output figures are not available.

We're trying to get used with glossy words nowadays, as most carmakers are apparently rolling out fancy press releases that do nothing more than to praise their cars' features while keeping other things, in our case technical details, secret.

To better understand what we mean, here's Alfa Romeo's words on the 2uettottanta (don't try to pronounce it by the way):

“What is the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta effect? Desire. Whoever sees it “must” possess it, drive it, enjoy it. Because the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta is not an unattainable dream. Nor does the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta only want to impress at first glance, but to achieve a beauty that does not strive solely for immediate confirmation, but gradually reveals all its values and transfers them to the future, making the style eternal.”

In other words, have a look at the adjacent photos and make your very own opinion on the car. And, if our vote counts, we'd love to see the car in production.
