2010 Ford Grand C-Max Released

As we told you a few days ago, Ford will bring the new C-Max at the Frankfurt Auto Show next week and not at the 2010 Paris Motor Show as it was initially rumored. Well, it appears that the American manufacturer will also showcase the Grand C-Max which is the seven-seat version of minivan. Details are still unknown at this point but here are the first photos with the car that got leaked today on the web. According to the guys over at worldcarfans.com, the Grand C-Max follows the same design line as the five-seat C-Max but obviously comes with an increase in length, a sliding rear door for easier access to the rear seats plus a redesigned greenhouse. As for the interior, the car is featuring a newly-designed control knob that allows the driver to easier access the information display on the small display screen. Ford has also introduced a separate display for climate control plus a push button ignition. Engines will be mainly the same as on the five-seat version, with Ford's new 1.6-liter EcoBoost likely to join the range as well. The company announced the car will be launched in the second half of 2010, but further details about the new Ford C-MAX will be released at Ford’s Frankfurt press conference on September 15. autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
