2010 Acura ZDX to Be Auctioned for Grammy Charity

The proceeds raised from the auctioning of a customized, one-off Acura ZDX four-door sports coupe will benefit the official Grammy Foundation charity, MusiCares. Bidding can be placed on eBay until February 8, from a minimum starting bid of $45,000. The ZDX is fitted Acura accessory 20-inch diameter wheels/tires and custom leather seats and floor mats embossed with the Grammy logo.

Additionally, signatures of the artists performing at the MusiCaresPerson of the Year Gala will enhance the interior. Furthermore, the car features an ELS Surround 435-watt, 10-speaker Premium Audio System, which was personally tuned by multiple Grammy winning producer/engineer Elliott Scheiner.

The 2010 Acura ZDX is powered by a 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 aluminum alloy engine that generates 300 hp at 6,300 rpm and 270 lbs-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. Thanks to this configuration, the car achieves a fuel consumption rating of 16 mpg (14.7 l/100km) city and 22 mpg (10.6 l/100km) highway.

And since Acura is Honda’s luxury division, the car comes equipped with a wide array of standard features including leather-accented instrument panels, sport-oriented leather front seats with heating and available ventilation, available Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition, AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic and Weather, and an available 10-speaker Acura/ELS Surround Premium Audio System.

Unique features include a new rearview camera system, Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), Active Cruise Control (ACC) and a blind spot information system.

The vehicle is available in three trim levels, namely the base ZDX, ZDX with Technology Package and ZDX with Advance Package. In the United States, the ZDX wears price tags starting from $45,495, plus a destination and handling charge of $810.
