A 1973 Buick Electra 225 that spent the last 51 years in hiding hopes to find a new home on the WWW, with the owner willing to let it go for MacBook money.
Buick produced close to 180K Electras for the 1973 model year, with the custom four-door hardtop (model 4CT39) accounting for the lion's share with over 107K units. The custom two-door hardtop was the runner-up with 44,328 units, followed by the four-door hardtop (identified as model 4CT39), which came in third place with 17,189 units.

The rarest configuration for this model year was the two-door hardtop, as Buick produced only 9,224 units in this body style.

A 1973 Electra landed on Craigslist earlier this week with an offer you don't find too often. The car, equipped with a 455 four-barrel engine, spent the last five decades in storage, with the owner explaining that the Electra was driven into a garage in 1985.

It hadn't moved until recently when the Electra left the garage for the first time in decades. Surprisingly, the engine still runs, though the owner explains they used a gas can. You might need a new gas tank, but a good mechanic might be able to get the big-block mill up and running with a thorough cleaning of the existing tank.

It doesn't look like the rust is a critical concern, with the owner promising the car is "very solid." The interior is "absolutely beautiful," but the quality of the photos does not allow us to inspect the cabin closely. It doesn't seem like you'll find any ripped seats or damaged headliner, but an in-person inspection would help a potential buyer decrypt all information before committing to a purchase.

The odometer could also hide a little surprise for people interested in saving this Electra. The owner says the current mileage is 25K miles, but it's unclear if it's original. They claim they don't know the full mileage details, so it could also "be 125K." It's something you'll have to check before the purchase, but a 1973 Electra with low miles and a working engine could become the dream of many collectors.

Especially considering the selling price, that is. The owner only wants $3,000 for the car, which makes sense given its shape and that the 1973 Electra 225 isn't the most desirable classic in the collector's world. However, the vehicle looks like an easy project for someone who wants to convert it into a daily driver, especially given its low price.

If you want to check out this Electra in person and obtain the missing details, you can find it close to Plattsburgh, and you'll need a trailer to take it home, given its mechanical condition.
