Built in just 318 units, the 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible is one of the rarest Mustangs you can buy nowadays. But that’s available if you’re not going into specifics such as body colors, options and transmissions.
For instance, the Bright Yellow-painted example you’re looking at is one of the only 43 units finished in this color. It still has its original 428 cubic inch V8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, rear axle body panels and interior.
Recently restored by a Shelby specialist, the concours-ready musclecar will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction next week, and, considering it has only 20,000 original miles on the odometer and an original Shelby VIN tag, it should found a new owner for a respectable amount of money.
A gorgeous pony car from the past that will make its future customer very happy...
