Built in only 1,001 units, 1966 Shelby GT350Hs are highly sought-after musclecars and fetch big bucks at auctions across the United States. We’ve seen one cross the block back in August, but the one that’s set to go under the hammer in January is a bit more special.
And that’s because it’s part of batch of 50 examples that were painted in Ford Thunderbird Sapphire Blue. The hue is different from Shelby’s familiar Guardsman Blue and stands out among the large batch of Raven Black-painted Mustangs delivered to Hertz back in the day.

The model pictured above and below was originally shipped to City Motors in National City, California, and had a sticker of $3,865.34. It has numbers matching 4.7-liter V8 engine that delivers 270 horsepower and chrome Magnum wheels. The vehicle featured in Mustang Illustrated and as a cover artwork on the box of Lane Collectible’s 1:18 scale diecast model of the GT350H.

An awesome collectors’ piece if you ask us, that should fetch more than $100,000.
