YAMAHA YBR-125 Custom (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Yamaha YBR-125 debuted in 2005 as a small-displacement, lightweight motorcycle replacing the Yamaha SR 125 model and eventually replaced by the Yamaha YS 125. The bike was available in naked, faired, and custom versions.

In 2012, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Yamaha YBR-125 Custom, a slightly different version of the base model, with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, mini apehangers, valanced fenders, and an oversized exhaust system.

In the visual department, the bike had equipped standard features, such as a large, round headlight, two instrument gauges with chromed housings, a teardrop-styled fuel tank, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab handle, a large silencer, and nine-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

As for the power figures, the 2012 Yamaha YBR-125 Custom had its heartbeat set by a 124cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine with a fuel injection system in charge, delivering 10 hp at 7,800 rpm and 9 Nm (7 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a telescopic fork on the front, offering 110 mm of travel, and dual side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear with 105 mm of travel, delivering optimum suspension performance and handling.

As for the braking performance, the motorcycle's wheels were fitted with a 245 mm disc on the front and a 130 mm drum braking unit on the rearm, offering optimum stopping performance.
