YAMAHA Stratoliner S (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Yamaha Stratoliner, also known as the XV1900A, was a cruiser motorcycle manufactured by the Japanese maker from 2006 to 2017. The bike was sold in the American market through Yamaha's Star Motorcycle division and was the largest Yamaha machine over its production period.

In 2012, Yamaha released the Stratoliner S, a touring motorcycle that received additional chromed elements, such as a front brake and clutch cylinders, brake and clutch levers, a belt guard, fork and fork covers, a handlebar clamp, a shifter, a front pulley cover, and several engine covers.

The bike had standard features, including a large, round headlight with a chromed housing, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a two-piece dual seat, a chromed two-into-one exhaust system, and 12-spoke lightweight polished wheels.

In addition to its standard equipment, the bike was fitted with touring amenities, including a quick-detachable windscreen for better protection, hard leather-covered saddlebags for extra storage, and a passenger backrest for more comfort.

In the muscle department, the 2012 Yamaha Stratoliner S had a 1,854cc four-stroke V-twin air-cooled engine with an electronic fuel injection system for fast and smooth throttle response, delivering 99 hp with a peak at 4,250 rpm and 167 Nm (123 lb-ft) torque at 2,250 rpm.

The bike retained its braking system from its predecessors, including four-piston calipers with two 298 mm discs on the front and a 320 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

The bike was perfect for riders who wanted to experience long-distance comfort with modern technology. In 2023, the 2012 Yamaha Stratoliner was sold for $9,000.
