The Ossa TR 300i is powered by a 294cc, 2-Stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine. With a cylinder bore of 3.11 in and stroke of 2.36 in, its motor is oversquare, meaning that the cylinder bore (width) is greater than the stroke (length). This makes the engine more powerful than one of similar displacement with a smaller bore.

The use of batteryless electronic injection helped OSSA’s engineers move key parts of the TR280i to more strategic locations. Similar to what Yamaha did with its YZ450F, the top end is reversed, with the intake at the front and exhaust at the rear. The cylinder is tilted rearward 35 degrees, allowing lighter parts such as the air filter to be placed higher. The fuel tank is located on the front downtubes of the aluminum/chrome-moly frame where you’d normally find the radiator; the radiator, meanwhile, sits behind the tank.

The fifth generation of the TR is a mature, polished and evolved product in every detail, but also remains the lightest and most technologically advanced trials bike. Its dry weight of 64.5 kg (142 pounds), its reliable and progressive fuel injected engine, exclusive equipment such as the Ohlins shock absorber, its compact and optimized for maximum lightness of the rear axle frame, and exclusive style, make the TRi in a unique option for riders of all ages and levels.

The TR250i is powered by a 249cc, 2-Stroke, single cylinder engine. With a cylinder bore of 72.5 in and stroke of 60 in, its motor is oversquare, meaning that the cylinder bore (width) is greater than the stroke (length). This makes the engine more powerful than one of similar displacement with a smaller bore. The engine is supported by electronic fuel injection which ensures smooth and timely fuel delivery.

The engine of the new TR280i is the culmination of two years of development by the Ossa Race Team “ORT”. Since the revolutionary birth of your engine its unique characteristics have been praised and acknowledged for the flawless behaviour of its electronic injection system regardless of temperature or altitude. The engine possesses unsurpassed smooth and controllable power to enhance any type of riding at any level. For 2014 the TR280i receives a new cylinder head completely redesigned and higher compression to provide a more efficient combustion chamber improving power delivery and pollution emissions. A new “EFI” electronic fuel injection mapping capitalizes on the virtues of the new thermal cycle, to add, improvements to the crankshaft and crankcase have reduce internal friction and vibration. The ECU has been relocated for easier access and increase the air box volume.
