MOTO GUZZI NTX 650 (1992-1993) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 1992, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi NTX 650, a nimble yet gritty enduro motorcycle in its sixth year of production, featuring the exact specifications as previous models without any changes.

The bike debuted in 1987 as a successor to the Moto Guzzi V65 TT and continued production until 2006 when it was replaced by the Moto Guzzi NTX 650. Over its production period, the bike remained essentially unchanged.

The bike was fitted with standard features right from the factory, including a high-mounted front fender, a front cowl with an integrated rectangular headlight, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat, a passenger grab rail with a small luggage rack, side-mounted rear shocks, an under-seat-mounted exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels.

At its core, the 1992 Moto Guzzi NTX 650 had installed a 643cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine fed by two Dell'Orto carburetors, boasting 50 hp with a peak force at 7,050 rpm and 49 Nm (36 lb-ft) torque at 4,000 rpm.

Suspension-wise, the motorcycle featured a 40 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front with 210 mm of travel and an aluminum dual-sided swingarm coupled to twin five-position adjustable shock absorbers on the rear.

As for the braking performance, the bike rolled on wire-spoke wheels with a 260 mm brake disc, a dual-piston caliper on the front, and a 260 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel, providing optimum stopping power.
