MOTO GUZZI NTX 650 (1989-1990) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 1989, the Italian motorcycle maker released the Moto Guzzi NTX 650, an enduro motorcycle in its third year of production that packed the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as the previous model without any significant changes.

The Moto Guzzi NTX was an enduro-styled motorcycle manufactured by Moto Guzzi in 1987 as a successor to the Moto Guzzi V65 TT. It ended production in 1995 when it was replaced by the Moto Guzzi Quota model.

In addition, the maker released a police version based on the NTX 750, designated as X Publicca Amministrazione (XPA), painted in white and blue. It packed smaller 18-inch front and 16-inch wheels, double blue flashing lights, and fixed side panniers.

Suspension-wise, the NTX packed a 40 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front, guiding and softening the 21-inch front wheel and a double-sided aluminum swingarm tied to five-way preload-adjustable twin shocks.

In the braking department, the bike packed a 260 mm disc on both front and rear wheels coupled to a dual-piston caliper on the front and one single-piston caliper on the rear.

As for the power figures, the 1989 Moto Guzzi NTX 650 took its nerves from a 643cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine fed by two Dell'Orto carburetors, boasting 50 hp at 7,050 rpm and 49 Nm (36 lb-ft) torque at 4,000 rpm.
