KTM FREERIDE 350 (2016-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The KTM Freeride is a series of off-road motorcycles made by the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer from 2012 until the present (2023), featuring different types of engines, such as two-stroke, four-stroke, and electric.

The Freeride series of motorcycles was developed for mountaineering. At the same time, the electric version was also available in a race-ready mountaineering version under the E-SX designation and a standard version with the E-SM designation.

The bikes were manufactured around a perimeter frame composed of steel and aluminum. The vertical beam from the swingarm pin is made of aluminum, while the beams and the cradle are steel. The swingarm was also manufactured of aluminum.

The electric version was manufactured since 2014 and packed a synchronous-type motor with permanent magnets, the 250cc two-stroke version was made since 2013, and the 350cc four-stroke was built since 2012.

In 2016, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer launched the KTM Freeride 350, the largest version of the series powered by a 350cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine fitted with an electric starter.

Suspension-wise, the small mountain climber was fitted with a 43 mm WP upside-down telescopic fork on the front with 250 mm of travel and a WP-PDS shock absorber with 280 mm wheel travel.

As for the braking power, the 2016 KTM Freeride 350 was fitted with a 260 mm disc and two-piston caliper on the 21-inch front wheel and a 210 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the 19-inch rear wheel.
