KTM 200 DUKE (2012-2015) Specs, Performance & Photos

The KTM 200 Duke was a small displacement standard motorcycle manufactured by KTM since 2012 at Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant in India. It was assembled in Columbia by Auteco S.A., in Argentina by Simpa S.A., and in the Philippines by KTM Asia Manufacturing Inc.

The bike was powered by a single-cylinder four-stroke spark-ignition liquid-cooled engine married to a six-speed gearbox, exhaling through an under-belly exhaust system with a three-chamber silencer.

In addition, the KTM 200 Duke was released into the North American market in 2020 after being available only in the European, Asian, and South American markets. It also featured several style updates and components borrowed from the KTM Duke 390 model.

In 2012, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer launched the KTM 200 Duke, a small displacement motorcycle with several improvements, such as a newly developed engine, a lightweight steel trellis frame, a lightweight aluminum swingarm, an inverted WP fork on the front, an ultra-light WP rear shock, Brembo brakes, and a multi-functional instrument cluster.

Underneath its fuel tank, the 2012 KTM 200 Duke had installed a 200cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine fed by a fuel injection system in charge, boasting 25 hp at 10,000 rpm and 19 Nm (14 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm.

As for the stopping power, the bike packed two 300 mm brake discs on the front wheel tied to four-piston calipers and a 230 mm disc on the rear wheel engaged by a single-piston caliper.
