Segment: Enduro/Offroad
Production years: 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999

KTM Duke 1994-1999

The Duke was KTM's first street bike, and first supermoto, having previously made only off-road and racing motorcycles. The 690 Duke is the latest generation in KTM's line of midrange single-cylinder engine supermoto or naked motorcycles that began with the 1994 609 cc (37.2 cu in) displacement. The thumping carb-fed SOHC single is all about delivering maximum power at minimum revs, with peak torque at just 5000rpm. This means there’s instant shove and a healthy mid-range, which combined with a dry weight of 152kg means easy wheelies.
