KTM 990 DUKE (2024) Specs, Performance & Photos

The KTM 990 Super Duke was a naked motorcycle made by the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer in 2005. The bike received several updates in 2007 and 2012. The maker released an R version that was available until 2011.

The KTM Super Duke R was released for the 2012 and 2013 model year by joining parts from the base and R versions, being dropped from production in 2013. In 2014, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R was reintroduced.

In 2023, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer introduced the new KTM 990 Duke, a naked motorcycle that targets the naked segment of 1,000cc-powered motorcycles. The new bike is powered by an updated version of the LC8c engine found on the KTM 890 Duke R.

The 2024 KTM 990 Duke has an all-new stiff trellis frame that holds the updated LC8c engine, which delivers 123 hp with a peak force at 9,500 rpm and 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) torque with maximum strength at 6,750 rpm.

The bike packed a 43 mm rebound and compression-adjustable WP Apex telescopic fork on the front and a single shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent suspension performance and handling.

In the visual department, the bike packs standard features, such as a single headlight unit, small side fairings, a two-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system mounted on the right side, and five-spoke lightweight wheels.
