KTM 200 DUKE (2016-2021) Specs, Performance & Photos

Thanks to the KTM 125 Duke launch in 2011, which has been a successful year for KTM with 9,000 units sold, the maker decided to expand the Duke range with the KTM 200 Duke, which followed the successful recipe of the 125 Duke.

The KTM 200 Duke was a small-displacement naked motorcycle that debuted in 2012, powered by a single-cylinder four-stroke liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission with a cable-operated clutch.

In addition, the KTM Duke 200 was released into the North American market in 2020 after being available only in the European, Asian, and South American markets. It also featured several style updates and components borrowed from the KTM Duke 390 model.

In 2016, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer launched the KTM 200 Duke, a standard naked machine that followed the success of the smaller 125cc version. The bike was similar to previous models, without any significant modifications.

It was built around a powder-coated steel trellis frame that holds a 43 mm WP upside-down fork on the front with 150 mm of travel and a WP monoshock on the rear with 150 mm wheel travel, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

The 2016 KTM 200 Duke had installed a 200cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine underneath its fuel tank, managed by a fuel injection system, delivering 26 hp with a peak force at 10,000 rpm and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque at 6,800 rpm.
