The Honda ST1300 was a sport-touring motorcycle manufactured by Honda from 2002 to 2013. It was part of the ST series and a successor to the ST1100, manufactured from 1990 to 2002. Also, the ST1300 was a popular choice among police forces worldwide.
In 2005, the Japanese maker launched the ST1300P, a sport touring machine designed for police departments and law enforcement agencies, based on the standard ST1300 motorcycle.
The ST1300P, where P stands for Police, came with several modifications, making it suitable for police work, such as an integrated police radio system, additional lights and sirens, a modified electrical system, and a larger alternator to support the other accessories.
The police machine was powered by the same 1,261cc liquid-cooled V4 engine as the standard model, delivering 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque with a peak at 6,500 rpm.
The engine was coupled with a five-speed manual transmission with a shaft drive. It featured Honda's Dual Combined Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS) as a standard option, which enhanced braking performance over various surfaces.
In addition, the 2005 Honda ST1300P packed the same standard features as the standard model, such as a three-way adjustable windscreen, a comfortable dual seat, a rear trunk, and side panniers for extra storage.
