HONDA ST1300P Police (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Honda ST1300 was a touring motorcycle known as the Pan European in Europe and the ST1300 in the American Market. The bike debuted in 2002 in Europe, while in the United States was released in 2003.

The ST1300 replaced the ST1100 machine, manufactured from 1990 to 2002, while its production continued until 2012. It was replaced by the CTX1300, a cruiser motorcycle with a modified version of the ST1300 engine, tuned for better fuel efficiency and increased torque at lower rpm.

In 2009, in addition to the standard model, the Japanese maker released the ST1300P Police. As its name suggests, the bike was designed for police forces and law enforcement agencies worldwide.

The ST1300P Police featured numerous upgrades and modifications, meeting the needs for police work. The bike had an upgraded electrical system with additional lights and sirens, a radio box, a larger alternator, and a reinforced frame to support the extra weight.

Also, the bike featured the same aerodynamic fairing as the standard model, with an adjustable windscreen that provided excellent weather and wind protection, a comfortable dual seat, a rear trunk, and side panniers for added storage.

As for power, the 2009 Honda ST1300P Police was powered by the same 1,261cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as its predecessors. With 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm available on tap, the ST1300P hit a top speed of 225 kph (140 mph).
