Segment: Sport Touring
Production years: 2004, 2005
First released in 2002, the Honda ST1300, also known as Pan European in Europe, was the successor to the ST1100 model. The bike was first released in Europe in 2002 and became available in the United States in 2003.
The production of the ST1300 carried on until 2012, and in 2013 it was removed from Honda's line and replaced by the CTX1300 cruiser motorcycle powered by a version of the ST1300 engine, modified for better fuel economy and more torque at lower rpm.
In 2005, Honda launched the ST1300A Pane European ABS. Compared to the 2005 standard model, it featured an additional Anti-Lock Braking System paired with a Linked-Braking System (LBS), enhancing its control and braking performance on various surfaces.
It also featured the same upgrades brought upon the 2005 standard model, including a new unique patrol speedometer, a three-position adjustable dual-density seat, a 20 mm higher and 13.5 mm wider handlebar, a rear cover for electronics weather protection, and much more.
The bike was also heavy, with a wet weight of 331 kg (730 lbs), while the braking system was taking care of the machine with two 310 mm discs and three-piston calipers mounted on the front. The rear was handled by a 310 mm disc and a three-piston caliper.
The lightweight aluminum frame used the 1,261cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine as a stressed member and kept in place the force of 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm.
