Segment: Sport Touring

The 2006 Honda ST1300 Pan European was a touring motorcycle designed for long-distance journeys, packed with numerous accessories that enhanced comfort and touring capabilities. The bike was the successor to the ST1100 machine, manufactured from 1990 to 2002.
When it was first released in 2002 for the European market and in 2003 for the US market, the bike featured massive modifications compared to its ST1100 predecessor. It came with a larger engine, more power and torque, a new aluminum frame that used the engine as a stressed member, and a cassette-type transmission.
Some significant features of the bike were the aerodynamic bodywork and the three-way adjustable windscreen that offered excellent wind protection and reduced rider fatigue over long-distance rides.
In addition, the 2006 Honda ST1300 Pan European machine packed a comfortable dual seat, a trunk, large side panniers for extra storage, a digital instrument cluster, and heated grips for more comfort.
The ST1300 was a powerful machine with its 1,261cc longitudinal-mounted four-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm.
With a wet weight of 331 kg (730 lbs) and a five-speed manual transmission, the bike still hit a top speed of 225 kph (140 mph).
Being a heavy machine, the stopping power was essential, so Honda fitted the bike with two 310 mm floating discs and three-piston calipers on the front and one 316 mm disc engaged by a three-piston caliper on the rear.
