Spyshots: First Mercedes C-Cabrio Spotted Testing
Codenamed the W205, the sedan model will be first to come out, followed by a coupe and soon after the first C-Cabrio ever. The spiritual successor to the CLK-Class Cabrio will sport the A205 codename and is expected to be revealed next year.
Even before that, our spy photographers have captured these images of the next C-Cabrio undergoing testing in Germany.
Despite the heady camo, we can still make out some of the details on the car. Just like the A-Class, the grille is absolutely huge and will probably have one of the biggest automotive emblems out there, held in place by a couple of distinctive bars.
The engine range for the C-Cabrio will almost certainly be made up of turbo engines, with the exception maybe of the C350's 3.5-liter V6. There should also be an AMG model further down the line, powered by a twin-turbo V8, but most buyers will be perfectly happy with something like a 1.8-liter diesel with DCT.
