You must recall Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) and their habit of chopping the top off vehicle that were never intended to become convertibles, such as the Range Rover of the Acura TL. Now, the guys over at NCE have showcased a butchered first-generation Porsche Cayenne.
Okay, maybe butchered is a bit too rough. NCE are obviously no amateurs, but we simply can’t see the use of a convertible first-generation Cayenne. And how about those wood grain-like details on the doors and the hood? Pretty cool on the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, but a definite No-No for this Cayenne.
Whether we like or not, we’re aware some people might be interested in this vehicle. In fact, Newport Convertible Engineering are planning to release a drop-top version of the second-generation Cayenne as well. And this raises another question, what are we going to see next?
