Making “sports cars” and generating profits have always been difficult to combine, but lately we’re seeing more and more performance automotive companies struggling to survive. The latest two to join the list are Porsche tuners 9ff and SpeedArt, which have recently filed for insolvency.
It seems that the Ludwigsburg District Court has appointed insolvency specialist Dr. Philipp Grub to handle SpeedArt’s case on September 4th. As for 9ff, the Dortmund District Court has appointed insolvency lawyer Carsten Koch to take care of its case on September 4th.
However, the details about the subject are limited for the moment. We don’t know if the two Porsche aftermarket developers can return to life, so all we can do is hope. We admit that we have a soft spot for 9ff.
These people do so much more than tune Porsches, as it also redefines them building projects cars that go far, far away from the original, such as the 9ff GT9 Clubsport.
