Just when we thought the Vision Gran Turismo craze was cooling down, here comes Peugeot with a breathtaking prototype, signalling French designers are not to be played with.
Also, allow me to add "French designers and engineers" to that, at least in what the world knows as virtual reality. However, that didn't stop Peugeot from offering a set of mind-boggling specs.

OK, they're nothing but fantasy you might say, but hear us out. The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.73 seconds, thanks to a power-to-weight ration of 1:1.

That's right, the prototype tips the scales at just 875 kg (1,929 lbs) while under that alien body kit, a mid-mounted 3.2-liter V6 turbo engine is ready to break inferno's blaze loose on gamers' joysticks with 875 HP.

There's a six-speed manual gearbox taking care of those ponies hitting the asphalt through an all-wheel drive system.

Design-wise, I can't think of anything else than Peugeot Onyx and maybe some BMW i8 traits here and there, augmented as much as possible. Peugeot tells us the entire body kit is meant to have the upper hand on air resistance and keep the car glued to the road.

Visually, the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo concept displays a set of 22-inch alloy wheels in the front while the rear end receives 23-inch wheels, glorified by four ventilated carbon discs courtesy of Brembo. Like we were used to before with prototypes from Toyota and BMW, the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo will reach consoles as a free update for the popular Gran Turismo 6 game.
