We’ve just come across a video that, for us, portrays the most fun you can have inside a car while staying Safe For Work. It all happens in the rather beat-up cabin of a Pontiac Grand Am and involves an AC vent. An out-of-control one.
The driver starts the ventilation and then sets one of the dashboard air vents loose. Rotational movement amusement aside, the soundtrack created in the process is simply priceless. The rest of the air vents on the dash seem to be working fine, so we suppose this is a bit of a DIY work, all aimed at lighting up the mood. Perhaps this is the perfect way to deal with those annoying traffic jams that seem to be happening all too often these days.
In fact, the implications may go deeper than that, as the move seems to appeal to the essence of the petrolheads within us. Turn up the volume and you will notice that the wacky vent sounds like a radial engine. Now who wouldn’t like to see a car fitted with such a thing? Even the starting process is similar to those used for radial engine airplanes, albeit with the arms being replaced by a finger...
