New Renault Clio Estate: Engine Range and Prices Announced
They've also announced the engine range for the Clio Estate, which unsurprisingly is the same as the regular Clio. This is made up of four engines (two diesel, two petrol), producing either 75 or 90 PS. The base model is powered by a 1.2-liter 16v unit with 75 PS. It's available either in Authentique trim for €14,300 or Expression for €16,300.
Next up is the new 0.9-liter TCe turbo three-cylinder with 90 PS. It's available in Expression trim for €17,500 or the top Dynamique grade for €18,600.
The diesels both displace 1.5 liters and produce either 75 or 90 PS. However, if you want that extra 15 horsepower and a bit more torque, it's a price difference of €1,000.
The most expensive Clio Estate you can buy is the dCi 90 Dynamique, which comes in at €20,500, but comes with automatic climate control, 16-inch alloys, leather steering wheel, navigation.
Renault says the Clio Estate comes with a good bit of standard kit and huge cargo capacity – 443 liters of it with the seats up or 1,380 liters with seats down. But as is the case with any Renault, some crucial bits are missing. The base Authentique doesn't come with air conditioning, which is a €1,000 option.
Also, no matter what model you choose, paint and trim will cost you extra. For example, that sexy Flamme Red metallic paint is €570, while most other colors are €470. Meanwhile, the 16-inch diamond-effect Passion alloy wheels are €600 for the Expression or €250 for the Dynamique.
