The Internet has its superb ways of giving new cars to us mortals and we are now experiencing one of the sweetest examples of this. Ladies and gentlemen, the yellow McLaren MP4-12C you see in the adjacent image is not your “average” Mac, but a special edition called HS (which stands for “High Sport”).
The vehicle was caught on camera by Youtube user Jodito20 (we're talking about the yellow one), who then talked to a McLaren salesperson, finding out about the new model.
"I talked to a salesman and he told me HS stands for High Sport. He confirmed that there are only five cars in the world. BUT, these cars are NOT from the McLaren Special Operation program. They are not Bespoke Editions even if they have some customization in common," Jodito20 said on Youtube.
The High Sport comes with an engine output increase of 75 hp, offering a total of 675 hp, while its front end has been upgraded, offering superior downforce and cooling for the engine. The front fascia seems to be inspired from the GT3 racing version of the car and so do the redesigned rear diffuser and wing.
