Lexus US recently announced a voluntary safety recall for certain RX models over a braking software glitch.
The recall involves certain Lexus RX 350 made between 2012-2013 and it will solve a glitch in the vehicles’ electronic system that can cause the Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-lock Brake and Traction Control functions to intermittently turn off.
However, if the systems are off, standard braking operations will remain functional so there is no imminent danger. The automaker has received no reports of accidents or injuries associated to the case.
Owners will be notified via first class mail to take their vehicles to the nearest dealership which will solve the glitch free of cost.
