A tuner we wouldn’t have expected to see delivering a custom exhaust system for the ex-generation Ford S-150 SVT Raptor is APEC, simply because they come from China, but this is exactly what the aftermarket specialist has recently released.
We’re talking about an intelligent exhaust system here, as this is fitted with valves that allow the driver to control the sound. There are two available setups, wth the driver being offered a remote control that allows him to choose between them.
Then there’s the pic showing the remote control and you can see the less-than-perfect quality of the plastic used for the switch, as well as for the remote control altogether.
Given the heavy taxation on the Chinese market and the already-niche character of the Raptor, the chances for the tuner to receive orders for this product seem to be pretty low.
Then again, it’s not like China’s super-rich refrain from cruising over the land of their home country in terrifyingly expensive vehicles, so we’ll probably label this project under “never say never”.
