A promotional racing event that took place recently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, didn't turn out very well for a Ferrari driver and a bunch of cheerful spectators.
While speeding through an improvised track on the streets of Rio the Janeiro, one of the drivers lost control of the yellow Ferrari 458 Italia and plunged into the spectator area, leaving three people injured.
According to Gaz.com.br, two of them were rushed to a local hospital, being released later that day, while the third person received on-site first-aid for minor injuries.
The Ferrari driver was immediately taken into custody by the military police, right before being assaulted by an instant angry mob. "Some people ran to try and help the wounded, but others tried to assault the driver," said a spokesperson.
