Dacia Duster Tuned by Eibach and Giacuzzo Design

The Dacia Duster has made the news around the world with its attractive price tag. Now the Romanian-built crossover has been tuned by the German specialists at Eibach and Giacuzzo Design, who teamed up to create a package that promisses to draw everyone’s attention.

The two companies opted for light modifications in order to stick to the basic shape of the Romanian crossover and to make sure the price of the tuning package would remain affordable for the car's target group, which is key for a kit like this.

Eibach specializes in making aftermarket suspensions, so it comes as no surprise tat the Duster has received its share of Pro-Kit Performance Springs, which lower the ride height by 30 mm to improve handling and provide a more aggressive stance.

Giacuzzo Design then took over and set about changing the look of the car by fitting 20-inch Shark wheels made by Alutec, a design that’s popular in the aftermarket world. The rims are painted in black and white and are shod in wide Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires (245/35R20). Though it’s not to everyone’s taste, the wheel/tire combo looks good from the front three-quarter angle.

At the front, a mean-looking bull bar made of polished stainless steel has been mounted, with the tuner saying it’s "constructed to provide optimum pedestrian protection". We don’t really believe that, but it is exactly what the Duster needed for people to take it seriously. A set of bars made of the same material have been fitted to the side of the vehicle, while the rear bumper has been changed to accomodate a double-end exhaust made of polished stainless steel.
