Going from 313 PS to 360 PS doesn't sound like a big deal, but when we heard that's what happened to the SQ5 at ABT Sportsline we were still quite excited.
The SQ5 is a car of many first, and it deserves plenty of aftermarket upgrades. It's the first S branded Audi SUV and the first performance car with a biturbo diesel engine.
That said, ABT's strange body kits don't inspire us, particularly that grille. But perhaps we're looking for inspiration in the wrong place. Behind that ugly new grille beats a hugely impressive tuned engine. The 3-liter diesel burner produces 360 PS, the same as the A45 AMG and more than a 335i BMW. Perhaps more impressive is the 700 Nm of torque which are available at very low revs.
This is no ordinary SQ5 and to let people know that, ABT have fitted the car with wheel arch extensions, add-ons to the air intakes and rocker panels. They also fitted a set of huge 22-inch gunmetal alloys that give it a sinister look.
