Now that we had some Ferrari fun to enjoy from last week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, how about a 100 percent German drag race? We knew you couldn’t say no, but this head-to-head acceleration test pairs two totally different cars - a BMW M135i and an Audi SQ5... a hatchback vs. a crossover that is.
You shouldn’t be too surprised though, there’s a lot of weird stuff happening at the drag strip nowadays. Moreover, these two vehicles have about the same amount of power, with the BMW getting motivation from a turbo 3.0-liter with 320 HP, while the Audi’s diesel mill delivers 313 HP.
A bit heavier than the M135i, the four-ringed crossover also sends less horses to the ground. However, it still manages to give the BMW a good run for its money. Anxious to find out who won? We won’t spoil the video so just scroll below and click play.
